The timeless elegance of Louis XVI styling is finely evidenced in this sublime Belle Epoque era vermeil sterling silver dessert or luncheon flatware set, by celebrated Parisian silversmith Robert Linzeler. Handles, stems and drops are decorated with finely detailed floral sprays, acanthus motifs, and the iridescent mother of pearl knife handles are set in vermeil ferrules decorated with the same floral sprays on a textured ground. The reverse of the dessert forks, dessert spoons and ice cream spoon are engraved with a decorative interlaced monogram. This comprehensive 60pc set comprises complete 5-piece place settings for TWELVE : 12 Forks, 12 Spoons, 12 Knives (with vermeil blades), 12 Ice Cream Spoons, and 12 Tea or Coffee Spoons. Masterly crafted from the highest quality silver, each piece (incl. blades) is stamped with the French Minerve 1st standard silver mark (.950), and maker’s mark for Robert LINZELER, active in 1898.
The superior quality of Linzeler’s work was recognized during the 1890 Exposition Universelle in Paris, when he was awarded a gold medal for his flatware creations, and a gold medal for holloware. Condition is excellent with rich vermeil (18k gold plated silver) is beautifully preserved. The set is presented in quality anti-tarnish fitted storage boxes. 每一支餐具經鍍金處理，表現出既華麗、永不退流行的經典路易十六風格。湯匙與叉子的把柄尾端皆有精細的雕花裝飾，形狀類似蕨類植物。而刀具的握柄使用光澤美麗的珍珠包圍起來，尾端紋理細緻，也使用一樣的雕花裝飾處理。在點心叉、湯匙、以及冰淇淋匙的握把處刻有漂亮的大寫字母M。一組共六十件餐具，包含叉子、湯匙、冰淇淋匙、刀具(同樣的，刀鋒處也經鍍金處理過)以及茶匙各十二件，供十二人使用，每人五件。毫無疑問的，每一支餐具皆使用最好的銀打造，皆刻有法國Minerve最高認證950銀的印鑑以及銀匠的印鑑Robert LINZELER。
